Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a rapid and convenient method for screening of antibody producing hybridomas (1 ,2 ). The method is highly sensitive and can be applied to detect antibodies directed against soluble antigens as well as cell-bound antigens. Over a thousand culture supernatants can be tested in one day if the assay is performed in microtiter trays.
