Sequencing analyses have been invaluable in identifying the genes associated with pancreatic �carcinogenesis. However, whereas gene discovery related to carcinogenesis can be fairly straightforward, there are several additional aspects of experimental design that need to be considered when performing genetic analyses of metastatic disease. This chapter aims to review these issues and provide examples of the types of data generated.
